The CLARITY™ Audit
A one-time diagnostic that scores your financial operating system across seven pillars and delivers a clear picture of where it's working, where it's not, and what to build next.
• 7-pillar diagnostic
• CLARITY Score + full report
• Engagement recommendation included
The Problem
Many founders who reach $1M–$10M didn't get there because they had great financial systems. They got there despite not having them… Which works until it doesn't.
The founders who don't set up the foundation correctly run into different things two, three, four, five years down the track. Especially when they want to raise, bring on a partner, or be acquired.
What Changes
The CLARITY Audit exists because receiving financial data late is a history lesson, not insight. You can't make forward decisions from a backwards view.
BEFORE
You're the one who knows where every number lives. The books close late. Decisions get made on gut because nothing else is available in time.
AFTER
You have a clear picture of your financial operating system, what's working, what isn't, and a sequenced plan for what to build next.
The Framework
The CLARITY™ Framework audits seven load-bearing structures of a financial operating system. Each gets a current grade, a gap analysis, and strategic recommendations.
Is the foundation accurate, consistent, and audit-ready?
Moving from: "my CPA cleans it up at year-end" → a continuously audit-ready ledger
How fast, clean, and trustworthy is your monthly close?
Moving from: "books closed sometime in week three" → a disciplined 5-day close
Are your bank, payroll, AR/AP, and reporting connected?
Moving from: CSV exports and manual re-entry → an integrated, connected stack
Can you see the business in real time, every week?
Moving from: "I'll ask the bookkeeper" → a live dashboard and a cadence you actually use
Are your numbers driving decisions, or just describing the past?
Moving from: rear-view financials → forward-looking analytics tied to real decisions
Do you know your real cash position, runway, and 13-week forecast?
Moving from: bank-balance management → a working capital protocol
Is the business keeping what it earns?
Moving from: reactive tax filing → a year-round entity, comp, and tax strategy layer
What You Receive
Every pillar gets a grade, a plain-language breakdown of the gaps, and strategic recommendations, each with a clear how and a concrete result. The report closes with a recommended engagement type and duration, matched to what the audit actually found.
CLARITY Score Across All 7 Pillars: A composite grade from 0–100, benchmarked against businesses at your revenue stage.
Gap Analysis for Each Pillar: Plain-language findings: what the gap is, why it exists, and what it's costing you.
Strategic Recommendations: Three recommendations per pillar, each with a how and a concrete result.
90-day Buildout Roadmap: A sequenced plan for closing the gaps, ordered to compound fastest.
Recommended Engagement (Type and Duration): Based on what we find, the report tells you exactly what kind of ongoing support makes sense for your business and for how long, built from your actual scores.
The company’s composite places the business in the Operator-as-CFO tier — common at the $5M–$10M revenue band, and the exact stage where the score either climbs or the business stalls. The lowest grades are concentrated in Automation and Insights, which is where the buildout begins.
We’ve modeled the buildout to put the company into the Owner-with-a-CFO-System tier (score 65+) inside 90 days, and into best-in-class (80+) by month nine. The Buildout Plan in Part Three sequences the lifts in the order they compound fastest.
Scores above reflect typical findings for a $3M–$10M business. Your actual grades will vary based on your current systems.
The Process
Four stages. An honest read of your financial operating system, including the things a year-end CPA review never surfaces.
A structured intake covering your current tech stack, your close process, your financial goals, and the decisions you're trying to make. This is where we get the context the books alone can't give us.
The Arrowhead team works through your actual financial data: QuickBooks, bank feeds, reports, and any other relevant systems. We go pillar by pillar and build the honest picture.
The Arrowhead team builds the full CLARITY™ Report. Every pillar scored, every gap named, every recommendation grounded in what we actually found.
You receive the full report and we walk through it together. Every finding explained. Every recommendation contextualized. And a clear recommended engagement based on your actual scores.
After the Audit
The CLARITY Audit is a standalone engagement, the report and roadmap are yours regardless of what comes next. The recommended engagement inside the report points toward whichever Arrowhead service fits what your scores actually surfaced.

FAQs
The CLARITY™ Audit is a one-time financial diagnostic that scores your business across seven pillars of a financial operating system. You receive a full report with a composite CLARITY Score, a gap analysis for each pillar, strategic recommendations, a 90-day buildout roadmap, and a recommended engagement — type and duration — based on what we actually found in your business.
Plan for about 30–45 minutes to complete the questionnaire, plus two one-hour sessions — the Current Situation Session and the Strategy Walkthrough. The report itself you can read at your own pace.
Founders and business owners who have outgrown the version of finance that got them here. Typically businesses in the $1M–$15M revenue range where the owner is still the de facto CFO — managing cash off a bank balance, receiving financials late, and making major decisions without a model behind them.
Not as part of the audit. The report delivers the findings and recommendations — implementation is a separate engagement. If you decide to move forward with Arrowhead after the walkthrough, the report becomes the foundation for that work.
It's tailored. The CLARITY™ Framework is the consistent structure we apply across every audit, but the findings, the grades, and the recommendations are built from your actual financial data. Every report reflects the specific gaps and opportunities in your business — not a generic checklist.
No. The audit involves tailored work specific to your business from the moment we begin. Because the work is custom, refunds are not available.
Yes — anyone who is involved in or has insight into the financial situation of your business is welcome on the calls.
No pitch. No pressure. Just a conversation to see if alignment exists.
